  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line standard muffin tins with paper liners. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon and sift. Whisk together the dry mix and the bran and set aside until use.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar. Add the egg, molasses and honey and whisk well. Add the milk and whisk well.
  3. Add the dry mixture and the raisins to the liquid mixture and use a rubber spatula to mix until smooth.
  4. Divide the batter evenly among the lined cups.
  5. Bake, rotating the tins halfway through. Transfer tins to wire racks to cool completely before removing the muffins.

When cooled, mix in the vegetable oil and egg. While the water/bran mixture cools, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a large mixing bowl. The bran adds a good bit of fiber and a little protein, too. This is not OATMEAL, but oat BRAN muffins. I have made these for about five years now, and I really love them.
