  1. In a bowl, combine dry the dry ingredients except the bicarb. - On med heat, melt the syrup and butter together.Mix the baking soda with the water and add it to the butter mixture.
  2. Once it foams up pour it into the dry ingredients and mix till combined. Grease a square oven tray and pre-heat the oven at 180°c. - Press the mixture into the tray and bake for 15 minutes or till light brown.
  3. Remove from the oven and cut into bars - Switch the oven off then place it back in the oven for about 10 minutes to dry out. - Allow to cool before removing from the tray. - Lay a sheet of wax paper down on work area.Melt the chocolate and dip each bar till coated.Let it dry on the wax paper then store in an air-tight container. - Makes 16/18bars
